Aaron Keay is the Chairman of the Alkaline Water Company, a producer of premium bottled alkaline water, flavor-infused waters and CBD-infused products. Keay talks with #ThePlaybook host David Meltzer about his professional soccer background, the benefits and environmentalism of Alkaline Water and lessons learned from COVID.

Keay talks about how his professional soccer career taught him about the importance of teamwork and accountability. He describes accountability as everyone taking responsibility and helping each other.

Keay discusses alkaline water as a beverage, explaining that you can't overdose from drinking it and that it shares some health benefits with CBD. He says the company's focus on quality has helped it grow without spending a lot on promotion or marketing.

Keay talks about how Alkaline Water's partnership with pro golfer Chez Reavie started and evolved. He says the company is looking into similar partnerships with celebrities who like the product and can naturally extend the brand.

Keay shares the lessons he's learned from running a business during COVID. He talks specifically about the importance of having sufficient production capacity and capital resources, noting that Alkaline Water has been a beneficiary of the pandemic because they could deliver to meet increased demand.
