Here Is How to Impress the Press Getting your company into publications isn't as hard as you think.

On this episode of "Getting Down to Biz," Entrepreneur Network partners Kate Volman and Karyn Turk meet with lifestyle blogger, business owner and marketer Dana Peller to discuss how to impress the press and get on the news.

Peller is no stranger to television. After launching her blog, she was approached to be featured in a local newscast segment on "Last Minute Mother's Day Gifts." After her first appearance, she introduced herself to producers at the station and sent handwritten thank-you notes.

In order to continue landing herself in news segments, Peller maintained communication and built relationships with people in the industry -- she especially recommends social media to connect and stay in touch. Becoming friends with these people has helped her market her blog and land herself on television.
